Newcomers’ Picnic in Seurasaari, Helsinki

This past Saturday, we swapped laptops for barbecue and emails for real togetherness at our Newcomers’ Picnic in Seurasaari, Helsinki.
We grilled hot dogs, tried our hand at Mölkky, tossed a frisbee and even experimented with a boomerang. And thanks to Visa, we also had a taste of Finnish candy culture (though only a few dared to try the salty licorice and Turkish pepper!).
A big thank you to everyone who joined and made the afternoon so memorable. Events like this remind us how important it is to create spaces where people feel welcome, included, and part of a community.
We’re already looking forward to the next one and wish our Newcomers a smooth start to their new adventure in Finland.
